Other walks

Although I enjoy the particular challenges and pleasures of long distance paths, most of my walks are relatively modest (10 miles or so) day walks. And the vast majority of those are done from near home. I live within the Wye Valley AONB and within half an hours drive of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. I could probably spend the rest of my walking life enjoying these landscapes.

Many of the walks here have been done when on holiday in the UK. Some are from France, Italy or Spain. I have had several fabulous weeks walking with my friend Bob on self-guided trails in France on packages designed by specialist agencies who arrange accommodation, provide maps and most importantly move luggage from one hotel to the next. I hope to do more of these if we ever get out of Covid restrictions.
